pesentage wise i gave 2% to charity actualy i know its not much but never told anyone they had to pay higher taxes to pay for someone elses heath care! and i know that that link bashes McCain that kinda the point its an attack piece that shows he STILL gave more to charity. and the charity him and his wife run help thousand of kids al over the world( http://www.abwholesaler.com/hensley/Cus ... Foundation ) and donating to school your kids go to does not mean you dont have to still pay tuition. other students benifiet from that

I can only speak for myself, but I do read what you write. I felt you posted that link to show McCain in a positive light, which I thought that article clearly did not.

Also, it should surprise no one that the poor give the most to charity, as they know what it feels like to be down and out and hope others will do the same for them should they slip into poverty as well.

No need to be nasty. You're among friends. Call that piece what you will, the McCain's finances are somewhat shady. Jeff was just noting that the piece's text was disconnected from what you wrote. To me the fact that Jeff noticed and questioned that shows that he does read what you write.

i know it is an attack piece, there is almost nothing but in the news, if mcCain ran into burning building and saved 50 kids the new would read "McCain put fire fighters out of work" if obama lit the building on fire it would read "Obama supports womens right to choose" any way the reason i said the no red thing is the rethread about how much should a poitican give, efectivly making me restate that whole point about YOUR money is YOUR money if you choose to give it to charity really its your buisness, however, if you make more than the national average (as most poiticans do) and then say that poor people dont have whatever it is you feel they need (food, heath care housing) and give a measly 1% but want joe tax payer to take care it with an always inefficent government program (name 1 that does what its suppose to).

Example: John kerry and his wife make $4 Billion/year but then tell me that my boss (who pays my check) should give more money to healthcare for the poor in the form of taxes, the national average salary/ year is 31,000 if he really gave a crap he could keep 31,000 for himself (lots of people get by on less) he could the support 129,031 families with the rest at 31,000 /family ..........homless problem in america solved, or he could buy 1,000,000 health care plans with kaiser permante at 4,000/ year (what i pay) health care problem 1/30th solved. you think we can find a few more liberal rich to live off of 31,000/ year and fix the rest ?
