Draft 4. The only change is the deployment and start order. One kind chap over on Ulthuan noted that since the High Elves are defending their homeland, they would be in a more reactive position. Therefore first deploy is the opposing force and they get the first turn on anything but a 6.

**EDIT** Revert to Draft 3. The relative ease of pulling down the Waystones combined with the difficulty of stabilizing them necessitates that the first turn should go to the High Elves.

Hey fritz, I had another thought for you. Since monsters have an arbitrary "strength" of 10, why not give the stones a "toughness" of 20. So to tip a Waystone (1) compare unit strength to Waystone toughness, if S > T, then topple on 3+, else, if S < T, topple on 5+ or (2) the unit rolls 2D6 + unit strength, if => 20, then topple stone.

Hope this helps.

So Fritz and I played his scenario, and it wasn't pretty. I technically won, before he had a turn, he might have turned it around, but it was unlikely.

That said, I love the idea, and totally love objective based battles. So much more interesting that "line up and kill each other." As it is, when was the last time someone won on points.

Anywho, on the ride back from NC, I wrote my spin on the scenario. I look forward to your thoughts.

Nada?

I had an issue where part of the scenario deleted, and now I realize the Beyond the Veil where all wizards have to roll below their level or be sucked into the warp, is missing. May have to add that back in.

Upon review I think I'm just going to ditch the special rules regarding the way stones. Too much complication in a huge game. Instead, let's just go with a simple 5 objective battle with 4D6 winds of magic. My leave block is coming up fast, so let's start locking down some dates! Again, I'm in town 28 June through 6 July. So far the only time I have set aside is for an O's game the night of the 28th. Everything is wide open for now.

Is the baby shower co-ed? If not, then keep in mind that the dad's will have their kids so WH is out. However, Nerf Hunger Games is total OK.

Also, I'm having some difficulty coming up with a 6000 point list.

No, it is not co-ed. Nerf Hunger Games sounds awesome for that day. I know that some people have weekdays randomly available, so I threw that out there as well. I've got a week and a half that I'm home, so I can be pretty flexible.

Then either a) find someone to tag team with (Serban might be a good one as I think he has one of the smaller collections out of all of us) or b) let me know what you can get to.

I'm working on it. I typed up a good chunk of yours that night. The problem is I had to leave my fantasy stuff in Maryland to make room for baby stuff from steph's shower. I forgot to pull my notes out of there, so my mother is mailing them to me.
