WLC 2 = 12 away, Misfire, roll 4, Nothing of interest except sigh of relief
WLC 1 = 12 away, 10, 4, Need Look out sir.
GR = long, move, double, cover, need 7s. 2 hits = 0 wounds (unless he does not have cover because I can see over, then 2 wounds)

All Blue White lions – Doomrocket 20 Saves – 2 for strength 5, Plus a look out sir for ABS.
Thirded Spears – Doomrocket 11 saves – 2 for strength 5, and WLC 18 saves – 1 for strenght 4 Plus a look out sir for Mage. (add a hit if LOS sucessful)

By the way, you can enter a building from any side, not just the door. News to me!

Look out sir for BSB successful. White Lions have 3+ save vs shooting (heavy armor, lion cloak), so have a 5+ against the doom rocket. 7 save, 14 die taking the unit to 15 plus the BSB. Pass panic test.

11 spearmen die with no saves from the doom rocket. Mage look out sir successful. 2 save against WLC, killing a total of 28, leaving only 6 plus the mage (yeah, Skaven shooting is a little stupid). Panic test is passed for the Spearmen as well.

Dragon Princes attempt swift reform and pass (barely). Mage joins the white lion unit next to him. Moving to magic, the winds are a 5 and a 2.

I am following this, but the it gets a little confusing with the terrain just being squares. Is there any ways to make the terrain a little more 3d?

Sorry, Jeff and I have a legend in the main powerpoint. The terrain is pretty boring in this game anyway. The grey squares are buildings if that's what's confusing you.

So in his turn 2 Jeff killed off one of the Great Eagles, killed the Dragon Princes with a spell, blew up 13 White Lions in the solid blue unit, and slaughtered those 4 poor poor spearmen with his Vermin Lord. I'm throwing in the towel and we'll start again with a revamp list on my part. Lots of changes to make to adjust for this edition.

What is the acronyms for Line of Sight and Look Out Sir?
Just don't want to confuse.

Also of note: Cav now use SwiftStride and no longer move 3D6.

I'd say something rude like "Know your rules", being as this is a general troop type, but that would be rude.
