Pressuring the Enemy
You must keep moving and keep the enemy under pressure and reacting to your movements.
There is a rhythm to combat, look for the next step.
Dictate engagement. If you are charged, counter-charge; if you are spread out, create 2-on-1 advantages.
Engagement Distances
Always engage the enemy at a distance that is most suited to the weapons your bring.
Force the opponent to fight in all distances at once.
A comfortable enemy, is a confident enemy, is a less mistake prone enemy. Force them to make decisions, and they will make wrong decisions.
Engagement Types
Quick kill - Strike quickly before you opponent is ready, remove targets of opportunity, create a localized numerical advantage.
2on1 – Move your body to create a localized numerical advantage.
Envelop/Pinch – Bring your forces together in an area quickly to create a localized numerical superiority.
In a line – Force your opponent to fight over one another, in a single line. Force them to fight you 1-on1, and rob them of their numerical superiority.
Defensive – Sacrifice offensive prowess so as to not give up territory. Continue to move, but do not die. Repel any attempts to take your territory.
Evade – Move away from combat. Attempt to stretch the opponents line and make them send out someone to chase you. Make them fight unsupported.
Retreat – Sacrifice territory to preserve life. Retreat as a whole, not as individuals.
