Gun sights
My father-in-law is thinking about altering his gun sights. I'm pushing him in the direction of luminesent paint, rather than actually replacing them. Any thoughts? Also if he does decide to replace them, does anyone have the tools or expertise?

sig 229 and a kimber. I don't know much, but I wouldn't go banging on a kimber unless I knew exactly what I was doing. When I move in the coming weeks, I'm sure you all will see him. Please bring it up if I forget to. He was showing me this awsome glow in the dark stuff they have. If I can find the link I will post it. There is actually this story on the site about cops who paint it on their flashlights. It appears to mellow out beligerant drunks as the glowing distracts them long enough to forget about what they are mad at.

Hey Jeff,
I just noticed this post. If your father in law can't find anyone down your way with the experiance to help and he doesn't mind driving all the hell up to Jersey.... My Sgt is a Sig Armorer. We have the P229 so I'd expect that he could do most work on it. He's also a wealth of knowledge on gun related topics.
