Check it out.
You be the judge. I was trolling some forums, and I stumbled across this beauty. I would love to start one of these. Looks like it fills the gap between 40k and Dark Heresy. I read through this and it is a pretty popular system over on the
http://www.DakkaDakka.com boards.
I have several ideas that I would just love to run with for warband ideas. It is awesome.

Anyone actually check any of this out? I see some of you actually looked at the post. I think I would start a Void Pirates Warband, or an IG Kill Team. This has me so excited, could actually use some of those models I worked on for Dark Heresy that fell though.

I looked at marginally, but didn't have time to go through it all. So this is basically one of those games where you have few dudes that level up and shoot stuff through a campaign that someone runs?
I'm always up for trying to new things (so long as I can use my ogres as my models..they do have mohawks, afros and top hats, so they can fit any world ;)

I have plenty of bits and models if you were to want to make one of the different warbands. But yes this is an addon to Necromunda where you basically get one squad and they level up or die between games. They do have a warband that would work with your ogres, problem is you might be hard pressed with out having guns. But I think you got some of the lead blechers don't you? So that would solve that problem.

Yup! And some of the other ogres can be given hand-guns (big shotguns). So yeah, I have models I can use. I'm game! Lets play!

So i've been reading the rules and all and there is one rule which I may be misunderstanding, but Jason mayb you can clear it out.
There is a rule about pinning and based on my understanding, if anyone shoots at you and hits (regardless of whether they actually wound you or not), you get knocked down and lose your turn. Is that how it works?
If yes, I have a really big problem with that. Say you have a big monster of doom with two layers of tank armor on him charging you. Based on that rule, all you have to do is hit the monster with a tiny bullet of clay and the monster will be knocked down. That is absolutely unrealistic and very cheesy. Is the rule truly that way?

The rule makes complete sense. If someone were to shoot at me, I would drop to the ground. Especially if it hit me.
The rule is not so bad. If you noticed, there is a way around that. In the lists, I believe some guys are immune to pinning. But in the base rules, if you have a guy within 2" of you a the beginning of the turn, you can pass an initiative test and get up and go about your turn normally. So, if you keep a few guys together, they are more likely to keep moving.
Being by yourself around potential enemies is scary. Trust me, been there, done that. I had to take and investigate, a couple of times, some weird noises that were happening in the tiny ass compound I was on in the middle of the night. Not fun in the least.
But, some of those guys are immune to pinning. Not sure which ones though. I think Space Marines and other large things like them.

I agree that if someone shoots at you, you would want to get cover, maybe drop to the ground, but if you were on the ground you would still shoot back, or crawl or call on your teammates, or something. In this rule, it's not that someone is shooting at you so you go for cover, but that if they hit you, you are knocked down! And when you are knocked down, you can't do anything, can't crawl, can't shoot back, can't get into cover. You're just there on your back in the middle of the field.
Furthermore, shooting is easy! It's not like melee atacks where it's your weapon skill versus theirs which could be a hard roll of 6+. In shooting, the base BS is 3, which means you need a 4 to hit without modifiers. That's 50% chance you will hit! If you add a multiple shot gun, or multiple dudes attacking, your chance of pinning someone is quite large!
The fact that you have an initiative roll, that makes it better indeed. I had not noticed that roll. I guess with an average initiative of 3 (humans), that's a 50/50 chance to get up on a D6 roll (it is a D6 roll right?).
I could not find any race that is immune to pinning. The most I found is the astartes (space marines) always get to roll for pinning even if they are alone. But they still have to roll, and they are super-soldiers!
I think the reason why I have a problem with that rule is that I feel it really makes melee a difficult choice for a characters to pursue. It forces you to taylor your army into a shooting army. I guess I'm biased because I've always found more enjoyement in hand-to-hand combat than in shooting of any kind. I suppose I can live with this.

You got to remember also, that it is not like 40k, every weapon has severe disadvantages for long range. Also cover plays a huge roll in this game, which is more negatives. Also, remember you can have your guy "hide" so he can not even get shot until someone gets within 2xInt, or 3xInt, think it is 2xInt though, can't remember. So normally, 6 inches. You could hide, or move from cover to cover with out getting shot. That is the main way to get around it. Hide until they get close, or move from cover to cover.
Remember, this is supposed to be an incredibly crowded terrain boards. Cover should be everywhere. I love the old school combat system. Much more dynamic and exciting. One guy could not just stand there and take on everyone by killing them before they even got a chance to attack. Numbers actually mattered back then. More guys could actually bod down and kill a space marine.
The more and more I type, and think about this, the more excited I become. I am going to go write up a warband.

Found this the other day. Someone has PDF's for pretty much anything the GW ever made for Necromunda.
Here is the link.
Serban, what is of real concern is the outlaw rules. It is what we are missing and it talks about the starvation rules that your list refers too.

Hello Jason,
Some inspiration for you. I liked Kill Teams.
