Bah, I can't post I'm not interested.
Admin: please create a special spot on the board so I don't have to look at post regarding Morons, and make it so convoluted no one can figure out how to get registered or post. Morons . . .
Anyway, here is my moron for the day;
01/13/11 - 9:52 AM
Called a college about information about their Bachelor and Master degrees. I followed the voice prompts, and selected 3 for Educational Programs. When the operator picked up she asked me to describe my goals and motivations. I did, and when I finished she said, "I'm sorry sir, we do not have any educational programs. Would you like me to send you a information packet?"
Uhhggg.

However, your next morons . . .
The Pep Rally at Arizona State for Obama . . . oh, wait, that was supposed to be a memorial service. I got so mad I had to flick it.

I disagree with you Jeff on this one. I think it was very well done and people really liked it. Why do you call that a pep rally?

Doug, I would recommend not to add that comment to the morons section as that will turn your blog into a political blog and you won't like the results.

He didn't email it. But I see what Jeff is saying I am watching the video now and a Memorial Service doesn't have that much cheering. I have been to rock concerts that had less. It is confusing, I won't post it cuz my site is suppose to be FUNNY and really this Memorial isn't suppose to be a cheering, fun, pep rally type of thing.

A memorial is a remembrance of the people that died. Most of his speech was just that. He spoke about each person individually, their accomplishments and related them to our lives. Then he also spoke about the ones that are still alive, and of course applauded the ones that stood up to the shooter and took him down. I found that very appropriate for the memorial. And if the audience applauded, that doesn't mean it was a pep rally. In fact, I believe they really appreciated what he was saying which is why they were applauding. They really connected to his speech. Approving of what one has to say is often acompanied with appaluse. He didn't pay them to applaud, and they were not left wing democrats that were there just applaud anything he says. I think he really connected.
I'm wondering if perhaps you two were expecting a very somber service much like when the people sit around the coffin and the priest says some words and everyone is quiet, maybe a few people sob, then they go home. If that's the case, I think your expectations were far different then what was going to happen. He is a president, not a priest and he is addressing the nation, not just the immediate family of the deceased. And again, a memorial does not have to involve people crying and general sadness. This was not a viewing. He appropriately showed the good and the hope that came out of this.
Of course, you are entitled to your oppinion, and if you didn't like it, then you didn't like it. I personally stand by my original opinion and I approve of his speech.

Err, that was a shot at the students of AU, not the beloved lea-dar.
Most of his speech was just that.
I couldn't make it that far, I guess. He didn't get many words out before I found those in attendance to be disrespectful, and, thus, I flicked it. This has nothing to do with Obama, just the immaturity of those in attendance. Now maybe I was already in a bad mood because my show was preempted, but . . . as you state . . . its my opinion and I think this "memorial service" was an epic fail.
Next!

Here you go:
So I was reviewing my weekly USAJOBS postings, the first four were of the typical IT Specialist type, but number five was a doozy. . . Meat Cutter Leader . . . Ummm, OK. I'll need to refine my filter.

Haha, I like how it is a leader position. The guy who reaally knows how to cut meat. Unless that's a CIA job where you're in charge of "cleaning" sites and disposing of excess meat. ; )

From my Health Care package.
Due to Healthcare Reform, dependents up to age 26 can be enrolled in your medical, dental and vision plans. You are
able to enroll your adult dependent children that are under age 26 . . .
Seems like they have coined a new word here. I'm not sure if I should read that as Adults that are still Dependant Children or Children that are Dependent on Adults. The reason I mention it is, regardless of age, aren't they always your children? Is this to avoid confusion with child dependant adults (I think that only happens in Hollywood) or Adult Dependant Adults (since they are over 18)? Just an odd choice of words to me.
