I just got done grading my first batch of papers. Crushing the dreams of young know-it-all hippies is so...fulfilling.

That's somehow so ironic seeing that is coming from a young know-it-all hippy :P And don't try to dispute that because you were still wearing sandals in the middle of winter ;)

When the hell did I wear sandals in the middle of winter? I've told stories about roomates that did this, but I myself have never been stupid/crazy enough to do so.

Well, it was warm outside..but it was still winter on the calendar so it counts! ;)

Actually, the average grade I gave was an 89%. It's just fun to make them scared shitless.

When I went to school, an 89% was a mid-B. What is it now-a-days? If you say A, I'll puke!

Bullshit unless you went to a private school. My parents had the exact same grading system that I have had my entire time in school. 90+ A, 80-89 B, 70-79 C, 60-69 D, 59 on down is failing.

I went to private school, yes. Hense my healthy fear of Nuns. I remember never really understanding the grading system. If I remember correct, less than a 72% was failing, though it was actually a D (I think). 63% was the absolute lowest you could get. Missy went to the same school, and she agrees, but neither of us can remember the particulars.
