Well, it is hard to explain exactly. Hippies come in many types, and I hate them each for their own reasons. You have:

Conspiracy Hippie
The government man is out to get us. They are putting growth hormone in the water to build a race of super soldiers, to fight against so-called terrorists and Extra Terrestrials. I mean real live aliens, man. And they have satellites that use microwaves to control our brain waves, and put us under mind control, man. Here, put this spaghetti pot on your head to block them.

Clayson to answer your question seriously, hippies were those idiotic left-wing anti-war protesters from the late 60s and early 70s. Typified by long hair, hobo-life clothing, a complete lack of reason, and essentially just wasted their lives doing nothing and getting high. If you asked them for an actual reason for anything they said politically, they would mostly answer "because maaaaan." Yes, I hate hippies, perhaps more than Brian or Cook. They give reasonable liberals like myself a bad name.

As I have previously declared my support for Serban as my official voice in determing what loot to ask for, I am now doing so with Brian. I trust his judgement in who is or isn't a hippie and what is and isn't hippie-ish. He even makes the Galatian Goatee appear non-hippie-ish.
