I love Simon Pegg. Great choice for Scotty. He's the slightly crazy looking guy in the trailer that says: "I like this ship! It's exciting!"

Spock is the guy from Heroes that plays Sylar
Sulu is the guy who plays Harold from Harold and Kumar

It is either going to be a cosmic shame, or be the best Star Trek too date.

for those of you you who are die hard fans it will be hard to enjoy(kline) because it doesnt follow cannon, but i think its going to be the best one yet by bringing in the newer generation and revamping the star trek industry, which as of late is dead.

Fuck the cannon, Star Trek has effectively died off because it was too shiny. Firefly and Serenity were so good because they were dystopian. Star Trek, on the other hand was a perfect (and yes pretty much communist if you were paying attention) utopia. The genre needs some grit to be believable it in our post-9/11 mindset.

I would have to agree with Fritz on that matter. BTW, Firefly = Best Series ever!!!!!!

Actually, they didn't buy Star Trek in its own time, either. It barely made it 3 seasons. It really didn't become popular until syndication.

My feeling is anything has to be better than Indi, Wanted, and the new Star Wars movies.

Yes, but the Next Generation was successful in its time.
