Description: Greetings unto the Fyrd!

The Head Clan War Committee is pleased to once again host Fall War.

With the weather the way it has been, Crown War having been postponed due to wet weather and all at Pages, and Fall War also being scheduled at Pages as well, this announcement has been delayed so that alternative arrangements could be made. Sorry about that, but I wanted to have a back up plan prior to the announcement.

Fall War is SCHEDULED to be at Pages in Port deposit Nov. 4-6. See below for alternate site info.

Site fee will be the standard 7$ per person. Children will, as always, be free. Additionally, anyone who has NEVER been to a Markland event will get in free as will the Marklander who brings/accompany's them.

There will be all of the standard Fall War battles; filed battles, bridge battles, woods battles, Warlord Tournament and 4 team tournament. There will be resurrection battles as well as non-res battles. The pace will be quick as usual.

Pages Farm has some fire wood as well as water, but trash must be taken to your homes or at least off site.

There will be "kids play fighting" with dollar store all foam swords on an informal basis as well. One parent/guardian is expected to be with the child while this activity happens. No head shots and no attitudes are the only rules. This will occur sporadically when there are sufficient kids wanting to play. See Liz if you have any questions.

There will potentially be Rec at Fall War IF there is interest as well as someone willing to run it. We have offered this a number of times now and thus far it has not really happened. We, the Head Clan War Committee, will not run it as we will have our hands full enough, but offer the possibility for those interested as a service to the Fyrd.

As noted above, there IS an alternative site for Fall War IF Pages is too wet to have the event. The decision to move, should it become necessary to do so, will be made by Monday of War week and will be announced on this site. So if you have ANY doubts, please check HERE on the Markland boards for the news.

Blackbird State Forest, Tybout Tract, Cherry tree site is the alternate location for Fall War if we need to move. That location drains quite well so even if it rains during the week prior to the event we will be able to camp, party and have our usual great time.

As other details become available, such as when and where Fall council will actually be, will be forthcoming. I suspect that it will be Sunday at noon, but I'll let the Witan confirm that info. Fall Council IS scheduled to be at the war.
