So Vlad's Coronation is coming up. I was promised melee, but I don't see that on the flyer. However, I do see 8-man-team bear-pits; do we have an 8-man team? Anyway, there was rumor of loot, let me know if you are interested in going.

I was not going to go as I could not shoot, but I think I will go and support Vlad.

Two points:

* We are paid for showing up. Vlad is a cool dude, doesn't hurt to support him.

* The event is in Jamacia . . . Virginia. 3 hours away. I expect your excuses to be in by Sept 27.

Good Day, Jeff.

Vlad is a nice guy, but three hours and no archery most likely will not be going.

Sincerely

Thomas

Oh, so this event is on October 5-7. Becky and I are actually going to be in Hershey park that Saturday (NSA day). We're not going to make the war.

Knowing we've got five, I'm starting to get pumped. I really want to work on our "I" formation:

B . M . P
... G
... D

Deploy:
Basically, Pensuer (P) and Boagrious (B) on the ends with sword and board, protecting the flanks and center. Mor Grendel (M) in the center with spear. Gregor (G) and Default (D) as backs behind the line.

Engagement:
The front line will attempt to pick the spot of the fight. M will attempt a quick kill as the situation allows, worst case, cause the enemy to pause. B and P repulse any direct chargers, and hopefully put the enemy on their butt. Key here is getting a numeric superiority, either one man down or dead gives us a huge advantage. Generally, B will be our anchor, because nobody is knocking him over. B will set the corner and we will wheel off him. Hopefully, B can hold the corner, while our backers pop out or around and create a surprise 2 on 1. Depending on the fight, the backers need not both go the same direction.

Scenarios:
(Enemy) Up the gut - Should the enemy blast the center, M will roll back. Backers move up, and Ends close the gap, spliting the attacking force. Backers and M quickly dispense with the one or two enemies allowed through.
(Enemy) Streaks - Should the enemy send one fast fighter up the flank, Default will meet them and keep them out of the line. Should they send two Streaks, both backers go. Should they send 3 or more we all engage them.
(Enemy) Pincer - Should the enemy split their force, we press the attack against the smaller force.
(Enemy) Super team - Chances are we will run into a group of Chiv and Crowns, to counter-act their superior 1-on-1 we must expand and contract. We have to keep them moving around, keep their heads turning, and never setting their feet. Expand to get away, contract to create 2-on-1s.

well with it only 3 hours from you guys that only makes it a plane flight away. hmm if the fight was on sunday then i could make it. On another note I like the POWER I FORMATION

Technically, this is only an I formation, since a Power I has a third back. If we had another Shield, it would be a Jumbo. Another End, a Big I. If the Backers are in a row, then it is a Stack I or (my favorite) a Maryland I.

From Wikipedia:
The Maryland I (also known as the Stack I) is similar to the Power I except that instead of placing the third back to one side of the fullback, the fullback, third back, and tailback line up directly in front of each other (hence the term “Stack”). Obviously, this is a running-emphasis variant made popular by the Maryland Terrapins football team of the 1950s.

Thanks internet.

So much knowledge, so few fighters.
