So I have been talking with the Battle of the Nations guys and they want to fight against Melee fighters that fight 360 degrees and grapple. They suggested Markland, TuChuxs and Bog Troopers. I stated that if they fought SCA weapons that we would be able to do it. Anyone up for Heavy Markland fighting?

Waiting on them to announce a date. It would most likely be in Virginia, at Tyson Pimmit park in Falls Church indoor facility.

Personally, I'm not really interested.

I could certainly be wrong, but from the few videos I saw of them fighting, I think they would be uber rhino's in the SCA. Also, as they all wear full heavy steel armor, I am not looking forward to having one of them land on top of me if there is to be grappling involved. Grappling also means potential for sprained and broken limbs, and I'm not in good anough shape to prevent that kind of injury at the moment. I think for me, their level of fighting is a step above what I'm willing to do right now.

But this is just my opinion. If you all want to do it, please don't let me stop you.

its going to be SCA fighting Markland Style, its what we are used to doing. But if you don't want to do it that is fine with me.

I don't think there will be Archery due to the fact there is none in BOTN combat.

I'd say Galatia style is different than all those named above. BTW I got yelled at for grappling just this week. WOOT! That said, I'm kinda in Serban's boat, moreover, I've worked so hard to train myself that when the stick is unpadded, don't grapple.

When I was talking to them they said that they was thinking Galatia or Angleseey or Tuchuks was the groups that they wanted to practice with it is all the same guys that we already fight with, but its all good.

Chris you interested it going, I think they are going to get some of the Lost Boys out as well as they have one of their guys trying out for the team.

This is right up your alley Kaliban. I've only seen you upended once, and that was against 9 Dukes and a Guy Who Got Lucky.
