FUCK! Well, i don't get to go to southern regional war practice. My cousin is getting married at 4pm that day in Odenton. I don't think I'll be doing the St. Patty's Day bloodbath either since it's on my girlfriend's birthday. If only the feast of king's tax and southern regional switched weekends...

Banners of the North! Weep! You shame your noble King with your winter's lethargy. While Atlantia's foes tilt at rings, you have wintered by your hearthside growing soft on rude tales and mulled wine.
Enough. Arise and shake off the rust of these past frigid months. Sound the battle horn and muster again. Fly all the banners so that they may fill the sky and fan our hearts to acts of worthy song.

We will host our annual St. Paddy's Day Bloodbath on Saturday March 11th. This event is a fighter's dream, featuring our usual bear pit tourney. This is for both light and heavy fighters, however this year we will also be adding youth combat to the schedule.

Light fare lunch will be served by Countess Denise Duvalier, DCADENISE@aol.com.

Martial Activities: Heavy, Rapier, Youth Combat. Bear pit tourney

Cost: Adult, Member: $5.00 Day-Trip
Adult, Non-Member: $8.00 Day-Trip
Child (6-17): $ 5.00 Day-Trip

Site: Nottoway Park, 9601 Courthouse Road, Vienna VA 22181. Authorizations will begin at 10:00am

Site Restrictions: Site is dry. Pets are permitted on leashes.

The park may be reached by taking the Washington Beltway (I-495) to Exit 49 (Route 66) West. Exit at Route 243-Nutley Street North. Turn left on Courthouse Road from Nutley Street. The park entrance will be on the left.

Oh its SCA :(. I'm not qualified or never fought it...oh well.

If we go sunday, we might be able to get you on the field as it is a "Melee Practice" :) but I doubt it....

Two notes; The sunday event was a practice, and they were not checking cards so some of you might have been able to attend. There was also some teaching before the melees that was pretty cool. We will have to keep an eye on this practice.
