SCA Rules change repeal

Hay all you fighters out there:
This came from the Atlantian list, and I don't know if anyone is
concerned about this, but there is a movement afoot started by Duke
Logan to repeal some new Society rules concerning elbows and neck
protection that apparently Logan, among many others, think is unecessary.
I do know that the weapons inspector gave Taog grief at the Storvik
event over his helmet (that he's been wearing for years without a
problem) because if he tilted his head all the way back, there is a
chance a weapon might slip through the gap. Now why he would fight
staring up at the sky was never explained, and my guess it has to do
with these new rules, but of course I could be wrong.
At any rate, if you're interested, Logan has set up a page quoting the
new rules, explaining his objections, and asking people to sign an
electronic petition to repeal them. It's a short read, so you may want
to take a minute or two to check it out and even sign the petition:

I know some of you may not be too fond of Logan, but he does care
about the fighting aspect of the game and claims to have support from
18 of the 19 kingdoms out there so far, so maybe he actually does have
a point here.
