so, apparently the local leather place shut down or something...

can anyone send me some leather suppliers websites and/or emails?

i tried searching the web but all i get are damn european leather suppliers... :(

Scutt found that a while ago. Not sure how well it turned out, but I thought I remember him being fairly pleased. Maybe he'll swing by and tell you.

Tandy has always been pretty reliable but if you order online/over the phone they'll probably send you the piece of leather that's been sitting around that nobody else wanted. You might have better luck going into their shop... somewhere east of Baltimore (find it on their webpage, I'm too lazy). Maybe call them first to make sure they have what you want in stock.

For stuff other than leather, http://www.steffanleather.com has a lot of stuff, cheaper shipping than Tandy, and they are friendly and helpful at Pennsic.

I actually ended up getting my leather from e-bay. Some of it was thicker than I wanted and some of it was thinner. Actually, now that I think about it. Two out of the 3 were thicker than I wanted, which is not really a problem unless you want to get some to make a belt or something fancy like a purse like Morg has. Ah the infamous beer purse. I miss what it carries.
