Good Day, All.
I believe the event is going to be somewhat like DTG were we will be fighting in our regular groups/teams. fritz, chris and doug are in, which is great news!!!. How about Clayson, Rachel and Mongo. Shawn are you authorized for SCA yet? There are only a few more local authorization events before pensic if you intend to go. Serban Did you repost the rose scented invatation to kevin after you inhailed the sweet scent of wildfowers? Man, my attempt at humor is pretty lame.
Sincerely
Thomas

No, i was so busy smelling the roses that i just forgot to share them with anyone else. I'll give him a call today and see if he's coming. Btw, what time does the fighting start? It's not posted anywhere on their announcement. I'm assuming noon?

This is from the Atlantian list.
Full text below, but down near the bottom is this important tidbit: "Also, due to changes in MOL policy you will need to have your site token with you when you sign in at the MOL table so please make sure you have it."
So no skipping check-in! Or else they will turn you away from the LOL table...
They also published a revised schedule.

10am Authorizations begin (*See note below)
All vehicles should be off the premises by this time (cart
service is available)
11am (or at Their Majesties pleasure) opening court begins
After Court all marshal activities will commence.
12:30 pm Lunch will be served
5:00pm Evening Court
6:30 pm Feast
After Feast there will be a Bardic Circle

******************************
As you all know Highland River Melees is coming up this weekend. This event normally has 60+ heavy fighters, 20+ rapier fighters and 20+ authorizations and fighter card renewals. I have been the MOL at this event for the past two years and I know how long the wait can be for getting signed in and getting your authorization paperwork done. In order to make the MOL process go a little faster this year I will be doing two things. First, I plan to open the MOL table on Friday evening after we have finished with setting up the site so that any of you who are on site Friday evening can go ahead and sign in with the MOL. Second, if you plan to authorize or renew your fighter card please send me a private e-mail with your legal name, SCA
name, complete mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, and the name of your local SCA group. If you have a current Blue SCA membership card please include your SCA membership number. This way I can have your paperwork ready for you when you get to the event. Also, due to changes in MOL policy you will need to have your site token with you when you sign in at the MOL table so please make sure you have it. I look foward to seeing all of you this weekend.
Yours in service,
Lord Fergus of Hanna

Good Day, All
Once again it was great fighting with you lads and lass. I had a great time! They had a really fun siege and bridge battles after you lads left. Along with some scrum melees. I got hit twice in the back of the head with the balista during the seige battles, when they were on our side. Freindly fire is hell. Sorry, I kept leaving durng breaks but we authorized six new combat archers and they want tips advice and such. Also, sorry I did not stand with you Rachel during those scrum melees. They were not combat archer friendly and sword and board would have pushed and stressed on my healing calf. One thing I have learned in the last several years. My body no longer bends when I push it, it breaks.
Sincerely
Thomas

Thomas no worries it was great that you were still there after the rest took off. Morg the hand held up fine inside a gauntlet inside a basket hilt under a sheild, arm got tired, but the hand was fine. I'll be off to practice in just a moment.
