A store opens up in Bowie on the 25th. They should have that starter set thing there. Or you can just go to Games-Workshop.com and order it directly from there if you like. You can only really get the discounts on the Plastic models. A lot of the older stuff is direct order from Games Workshop only.

I can also get King Lecourner for 30 dollars also. That is 10 dollars off MSRP. But to play, you do need to have the battalion boxed set. Kevin, I can always go over to your moms and pull some of that stuff out if you are trying to sell it.

I have been having some success on eBay. I made 500 dollars clearing out some of my stuff last month. You would just have to let me know what percent loss you were willing to take on getting rid of the stuff. ie, 30 dollar tactical squad for 20 bucks on ebay. Got to keep in mind Ebay takes 9 percent and paypal takes 1.5 percent.

Umm, seems to me if you wanted the Elves, you should have suggested the box set . . . and yeah, that might have killed 3 birds with one stone.
Actually, I specificly wanted the clan rat box for some different poses, and hopefully a free left arm.
Thomas, you are welcome to anything from the Ill-Gotten-Gains free of charge. We got it from climbing in a dumpster, so charging you would be wrong in my book (though I did cut myself pretty good . . . maybe I should rethink this). That said of the two paint sets I had, one was a quarter dried out and the other I gave to Serban, and I think some of the paints had started to chunkify.
I'll dig around, but I've honed my craft as of late, and I'm really starting to detest old paint. I think to start on the right foot, you should buy new. However, I would not buy paint sight unseen, pop the top if you can (I've been burned a few times). I also suggest buying paint one shade darker than you want, because you can lighten it with white or yellow and create highlights. I avoid darkening as it ruins the saturation (adding black is basicly adding all the colors of the rainbow). Bretonians can get colorful, but I would focus on a main-two-color scheme, and focus on that first. Paint the archers until you get the hang of it before moving on to the centerpeice models.
FYI - You will hear lots of advice on painting, for example, Jason likes to use washes to color and shade models, while I tend to use them to blend and contrast. Like fighting, you'll have to figure out what works for you. Also like fighting, you will likely change up your style from time to time. . . . Remember when we used to dork about fighting

Good Day, Jeff.
Thanks for the advice. I can't wait to become a full fledged geek. Maybe I'll learn how to use a computer and start playing computer games too. Lets see SCA, reading fantasy and watching history channel. mmmm maybe I am already there.
Sincerely
Thomas
