Tues

From my boss.

aliterate (ay-LIT-uhr-it) noun

One who is capable of reading but not interested in it.

[From Latin a- (not or without) + litteratus (learned), from littera
(letter).]

HERE's a great game for you:
http://www.freerice.com/index.php

Every time you choose the correct meaning for a word, they donate 10 grains of rice to help end world hunger - paid for by site advertising. Gives you the correct answer for ones you miss, so it helps build your vocabulary. Tells you your "vocab level" up to 50 points - see if you can beat my 49. ;)

*edit* Scratch that, I hit 50.

Nope, just broke 40. Missed "fusty" (should have gone with my gut) and between that and the cat in my face, I never recovered.

It was strange how many words they used that have I learned from Warhammer. I mean how many people know what a "howdah" is. And isn't that Arabic or African anyway.

Also strange was how many medieval words that came up. Doug was telling me the other day he signed up for a word of the day e-mail and was some what let downl;.ss as 80% of the words were medieval and he knew them. I may take another shot at it later.

Oh and the l;.ss is kitty typing. I hate cats.

Yeah, a lot of them I only know because of my medieval hobbies. There are also a lot of foreign words which may not be used much in English...
And I like cats.
