Day 7. Getting big enough to cause camera issues.

What do you think of the base? It is modeled on a 40x40, but I realize now that he is technically a monster so should he be on a 50x50? Is the base to tall?

I was thinking that same thing.. Smurfs are blue, this guy is green; smurfs have white tiny hats, this guy has horns, smurfs are tiny, this guy's huge... I can't think of any criteria by which it would be a smurf..

Cool, I think they may be a bit big though. I actually found myself searching for something smaller than a pin for this project. Humorously, I have already carved those shapes in to a pair of old chopsticks. Why chopsticks? Because, I work with magnets and so metal tools are a no go.

UUgghhh, so I took the almost done pictures. However, in reviewing them I didn't like the way they turned out and I didn't like the final angle of the model glued to the base (prior I have used blue tac). So like a champ I snapped him off the base without incident. However, upon reflection, I realized he came of the base TOO EASY, and so decided I should pin the base. Needless to say . . . this did not go well. I hope to have current progess pict up today.

Good Day, All.

I have finished my men at arms and archers, well I still need to high light, blend and wash. I'll need some more advice on that. I will start on my cav this week. Hopefully I'll be done by the time you get back from pensic. Jason you said I needed more points to play, what do you lads suggest I add to my army? I have been reading the rule book for my army. Alot of it is just the history of the army, Also, I am really not getting or understanding how the game is played. I know it is a dice game, but I am just not clear on all the rules. I'll need some help with that.

Sincerely

Thomas

How many points do you have?
When the Tale of Four Gamers started, we started with as few as 500 points. Games are fairly short and straight forward, and that is good when you get started. It also helps you define your play style. I don't know what you currently have, but more knights is never bad.
