So I'm just looking at getting back into things and next weekend looks like a doozy. Thursday, April 12th, is my 30th bithday, that weekend(13-15) is Death and Taxes, and Sunday, April 15, is a Northern Regional War Practice in Ponte-Alto.

I was planning on hitting this Irish Bar/Resurant in Bowie and then heading to Blobs.... But I know if that is Friday no Death and Taxes... If Sat no NRWP... and so on and so forth.

Crap, why does everything always happen at once... Maybe I will push my birthday back a week...

F-ing work computer. I posted this message twice now and it keeps asking me to log in. So what I was trying to say was I would like to day trip D&T, then go out Sat. night for Jeff, cuz on Sunday I was going to go and take pictures for my co-worker which I have been putting off for two months now.

I've got to finish this job up that weeked but Sat.ight sounds good to me and Kel. Oh by the way you forgot to metion the most important date in April... my birthday.

When and What are we doing for Jeff's B-Day?

Kevin says he's in for the Sunday War Practice, but since he is on call all weekend, he's out for D&T.

As far as my birthday goes...Blob's on Fri or Sat night is an option. Maybe some boneless buffolo wings before hand...

Okay, I am going to say it. I don't care what people do as far as Death & Taxes or the SCA Sunday War Practice. But if we don't make a showing at Death & Taxes we MUST cancel Celtic Fire. I don't as a group want to hold an event that I know is going to fail. I know what you are going to say all events take a loss. That is not true all events can be successful and I cannot run/host/support a markland event if we have not made one single event so far this year. Yes there has been Markland events. At least 3 feast and two of which I think were fighting events. So If people want to go to the SCA War Prictice because it is closer or more fighters or that it is SCA that is fine as long as we make a showing at Death & Taxes too.

Hey, I can't find info on any "Northern Regional War Practice" on SCA or Ponte Alto pages, just their usual weekly practice. I'm planning to go to that since it's local and I'm busy Saturday... please give me more info if you have it and I'll see some of you there.

First, Doug your right in that we need to make a showing if we expect people to show at our war. I'm going to try and make a flyer today. Second, the more I've gotten thinking about it, going out Sat might be trying to fit too much in one day. Also I think we may end up at the war later than expected as people are going to want to talk with me about Crown War, and we should stay for a bit and promote our War which is happening in a few weeks. So going out Friday, or pushing back a weekend may be better. But I don't want to share my birthday celebration with Chris, because he's an asshole :).

Northern Regional War Practice Sunday April 15

Greetings to all stalwart fighters of Atlantia's sylvan northern
region. Our next regional war practice will be on Sunday April 15th in
the fair barony of Ponte-Alto. The Honorable Lord Ragnar Ribcracker
will be leading the scenarios.

The simple plan for the day is melee, melee, melee.

Noon - 1pm: Single bouts to warm up
1pm - 4pm: Various melee scenarios including bridge, field, and
resurrection

Alas, this site does not allow for combat archery- but there is
another war practice on May 6th (within the Barony of Storvik) that
will allow the skies to be blackened with their swarms.

Location and Directions:
Practice is behind the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library 7584 Leesburg
Pike, Falls Church. Take your best route to I-495. Get off at the exit
for Route 7 East (Falls Church). The library is on the left about 1
mile. Park in the library lot and go down the hill to the park.
