I can't fit in the 10 Swordmasters, it puts me way over the points, so I had to substitute, with what I had in the box.

Well, as I can't really overwhelm with number in a 500 pt battle, here's what I was thinking about:

21 night goblins
3 trolls
3 spear chukkas
1 night goblin shaman
1 night goblin big boss

To the far north lived a clan of Kurgan not so immersed in the lands of chaos to be infected by the taint of daemons, but under their domain none the less. They were a proud people who would bow to no one and pledge loyalty to only those whom fought and died by their own deeds and martial pride. No magic or trickery would sway their hearts or souls from their chosen path of greatness. They were to be a people of pride, unity, courage, and strength! They would ride to war on great bull-oxen covered in armor and runes, gifts from a long dead race of dwarves to help ward off the powers of chaos.

As with many unfortunate souls of great wars their clan was ravaged by vengeful kingdoms trying to fight back the tides of chaos. A mighty gathering of allies, The Conclave, joined forces to wipe the cursed foes from the lands in the north. Dwarves, Elves, and even the Empire crushed many a would-be Chaos warrior to avenge lost comrades. Upon their travels they came across a village with many warriors, but no taint of chaos. However, being from the north "they must be of chaos", so war was to begin.

Before the first shot could be fired, the greatest champion of the Kurgan, a mountain of a man stepped forward and issued a challenge to the mightiest of each nation. He met each in turn upon the great dais in the center of their homelands, where he bested each champion one after another. The armies of The Conclave could not believe that a mere mortal no matter how large could ever defeat all of their greatest warriors without the help of chaos. Declaring the challenge to be a farce and the Kurgans to be liars and worshippers of chaos, they set to the task of destroying them. While the Kurgan were a match for any man or beast their numbers were too few to hold out against such a large force.

The once great tribe was all but wiped out, not a single woman or child survived "the great scourging" as it became to be called. Only the Champion and a small band of warriors were left, to try and avenge their great shame. Now they set sail to crush and destroy any members of the races of The Conclave, gathering allies along the way who might help destroy their hated enemies, albeit without magic. And woe to the fool who stands between them and there ultimate goal of REVENGE!

Remeber, in the new ruled it is 25 percent of your total points for heroes, so not more than 125 for 500 pts.

I like the story. FYI their, not there for everyone of your uses of there, "there" is place and "their" shows possesion. Only mention it because you used the word like 30 times in there. And to avoid copyright issues, don't post full point breakdowns and stats. It is how most forums don't get in trouble from GW.

Thanks for the offer Jason, but I also have bought the army builder software and used it to create the army. That army i posted didn't show fanatics, special items, etc. It actually does meet the point requirements. However, I will certainly take suggestions as I don't actualy know how to play this game, nor do I know the different armies (i'm a noob!). Here is the complete army as of now.

500 Pts - Orcs & Goblins Roster - Night Goblin 500 pt

Night Goblin Mob (24#, 179 pts)
20 Night Goblins @ 179 pts (Size Matters - Goblins; Musician Mus; Standard Bearer Std; Hand Weapon; Spear; Shield; Animosity; Fear Elves; Hate Dwarves)
1 Night Goblin Boss (Hand Weapon; Spear; Shield)
3 Fanatics

Trolls (3#, 120 pts)
3 Trolls @ 120 pts (Hand Weapon; Causes Fear; Immune to Psychology; Regenerate; Stupid)

Shooty Things (8#, 70 pts)
1 Goblin Spear Chukka @ 35 pts
3 Goblin Crew (Size Matters - Goblins; Hand Weapon; Fear Elves)
1 Goblin Spear Chukka @ 35 pts
3 Goblin Crew (Size Matters - Goblins; Hand Weapon; Fear Elves)

Shaman (1#, 50 pts)
1 Night Goblin Shaman @ 50 pts (General; Size Matters - Goblins; Hand Weapon; Fear Elves; Hate Dwarves)

Big Boss (1#, 75 pts)
1 Night Goblin Big Boss (Battle Standard Bearer) @ 75 pts (Size Matters - Goblins; Hand Weapon; Battle Standard Bearer; Fear Elves; Hate Dwarves)
1 Nibbla's 'Itty Ring

Validation Report:
Edition: 8th Edition; Game Type: Normal Game; Army Subtype: Orc & Goblin Horde

Hey Bo,
I fixed you all up. I'm sure you wrote it with 3 kids screaming in your ear. I was not sure if that part at the end was "the great scourging", but that is what I changed it to.

FYI: Just read that you cannot combine a magical weapon and an additional hand weapon. Also for Cav, Lances and spears are first turn only (may have been that way before).

The House of Ik
Within the clan those that do not hunt for technology, build it. These sorcerer-inventers are called the House of Ik after their patriarch Ikit Claw. The head of this house of Warlock Engineers is none other than Horrent Barghest, the leader of Clan Cozenrook. He is one of only a few that knows “The Secret of Ik”; that before his accident Ikit Claw was a white rat, that Ikit was more magical than the Grey Seers and the Council knew, and that “Ikit’s Cure” was his way of passing on his legacy to the rats of Clan Cozenrook. More importantly this cure has been the key to unlocking Cozenrook’s magic potential.

The Inconvenient War
This secret is not without its prying eyes. The rapid change in Clan Cozenrook’s color and position rang alarm bells all the way up to the Council of Thirteen. They decided that Clan Eshin should send spies to investigate the matter. Sun Nie sent a talented group of spies that included his chosen son, Sun Shade, to the Cozenrook capital of Cravenroost. The spies snuck in but were discovered. All were captured and killed, save one, Sun Shade. Though Sun Shade would not speak, it was obvious who he was and to whom he did belong. Barghest was outraged and sent his army lead by Warlord Gherbel and his Doom Flayers against the Eshin town of Vilesea. When Gherbel of the Sons of Farhet was ordered to march he was heard to remark, “Let it begin!”

The battle of Vilsea was a bloody and violent one. The Eshin poisons were no match for the vanguard of steel balls of Cozenrook technology, as the throwing stars and darts bounced off the Doom Flayers impotently. Soon after the Cozenrook’s Warpfire Throwers set fire to the entire town. When the Eshin Warlord was found, he was brought to Gherbel. Despite being restrained, the Warlord managed a sneak attack with a poisoned dagger wielded by his tail. The tail was quickly severed by a guard, but it was too late, the damaged was already done. The Warlord laughed and laughed and hatred grew in the eyes of Gherbel. He continued to stand despite the poisons that ran through his blood. His eyes turned green, and his fur fell out in patches. He yanked the blade from his neck, and relayed instructions to his trusted bodyguard on how to use this dagger to send a message. The bodyguard took the Warlord to the gates of Vilesea, they eviscerated him, and on the gate they used his entrails to send the message, “We have your chosen son.”

No one had ever dared to threaten Eshin, let alone start a war with them. However, the message was clear; this does not need to escalate. Eshin was lost, how could they be so summarily defeated. Sun Nie was brought before the Eshin Council (of which he was on). He convinced the Council that the two acts were not connected. That the Warlord of Vilesea was ultimately responsible for its attack and the loss must have been a failing in the Warlord’s teaching of his houses. He recommended that until they better understood their foe and their wonderous technology, that they make peace. He proposed a treaty that both freed his son and offered Eshin services (at a very reasonable rate) to Clan Cozenrook. What better way to get spies in than to have them invited in?
