Clayson you might have left Verizon too soon?
Not confirmed but the Verizon Apple iPhone 4 might be announced at Verizon's extra secret NY conference on Jan. 11. It has also been stated that employees can't take off any weekend in Feb for a new promotion/phone and that training will start soon for the new product.
I still wouldn't switch cuz my plan is AWESOME and what not. I can't remember, but I might owe you a beer or something if Verizon does get the phone even though i think you said they were getting it last year.

Well, it's a toss up anyway on who to pick.
ATT does indeed have the fastest 3G network. Verizon has the most coverage. The 3G technology of ATT is better then what is used by Verizon which allows ATT users to talk on the phone in the same time as they surf the web or do anything that requires data usage (probably not as important for everyday users, but for a business it would be very important). Verizon, you can only talk or use data, but not both in the same time. ATT has rollover minutes, Verizon doesn't. Verizon still has unlimited data plan for a flat rate, ATT no longer does (which is a bummer unless you're grandfathered into the old unlimited data plan like I am). Verizon has a 4G network which is better then 3G (see, it's a bigger number!-- Read more about 4G), ATT does not currently, but is building one up and will have one within the year.
Price wise, for a similar plan, both companies are keeping prices pretty much the same so there is no advantage from one to the other.
For now, I'm sticking with ATT.
But on highly innacurate rumor mill, I hear that iPhone 5 is coming out sometimes this summer. Mmmm, iPhone 5...

Daily Show ripped ATT last night, but I thought it was poor construction of the Iphone that led to all the dropped calls not the network. My phone is so worn out its missing buttons, but I never have any issues with dropped calls.

Oh yeah, that was an iPhone issue not a network issue. It happened when you held the phone just right and the phone had no protection (so your fingers actually touched the casing around the antenna). But all you have to do is get a protective case and it works fine. Most people get a protective case since they want their phone to last.
The few that don't, well, their phone will break the first time they drop it anyway (In my oppionion, they don't deserve to own such a beautiful - and expensive - piece of hardware if they misuse it like that).

Re: Clayson you might have left Verizon too soon?
Verizon currently doesn't have a flat rate unlimited plan. But they said they were going to. no word on Price $$$. And I feel that AT&T will bring unlimited back to stay in the market . Big problem with switching for me is whenever I would discuss rates with other providers or even AT&T; I would tell them what I pay and they would say, "That is a good rate, you should stay with that." The big thing they were hyping yesterday was Internet tethering, and to that I say I could take or leave it. I just want to be able to stream/run nav/ and answer phone call without any issues.(So I am going to stay with AT&T).Verizon still has unlimited data plan for a flat rate
PS: iPhone is not available for 4G and according to Apple will not be until some issues are resolved. That and 4G is years from being as available as the 3G networks. We will see if the iPhone 5 is even 4G because Apple is not sure it will be, not by this July when they would be releasing it. Nor would they answer if there will be an iPhone 5 or if Verizon will have it. Apple is tight lipped. Funny that Steve Jobs didn't appear at the announcement as Big as everyone is hyping this as a BIG deal for Apple.

I always had a problem with dropped calls. I also always had problems with people calling me, hearing it ring, but I never actually get the call. Steph has the same problem right now.MorGrendel wrote:Daily Show ripped ATT last night, but I thought it was poor construction of the Iphone that led to all the dropped calls not the network. It's actually worse in Maryland. And to answer your question: mountains and very dry evergreens.Berserker wrote:Yeah, but you are in Arizona..I mean, what is there besides a few cactuses and dust?

I got the same thing Cook. Same guy probably. I did it like 3 months ago though. That guy was an ass, I wanted to reach through the phone and choke him. Not with his hand but my hand.
