hail Galatia
Hail, message board! I am Swordbrother Robric Haldane of The Kingdom of Gwynedd, swordbrother to Kinsman Tauron Haldane, WarDuke of our King's armies. I stumbled on your forum purely by accident. I was actually looking for another warband down in Richmond. I am a Dagorhir fighter, but several of our guys do Markland SCA too, Lord Freewynd, Lord Talon, Lord Arabus, and several others. The Galatia I was looking for is attached to VCU and run by some college guys, good friends of mine, and hardy fighters all. But well met! I have been looking to break into hat fighting, but I've had a run of bad financial luck... Where is your unit located? How old is it? How many members do you have?

We have challenged them, they begged for mercy and then we slaughtered them all!

Well, i don't know so much if we slaughtered them, so much as they started calling us their "older, more evil brother" and offered to change their colors to match us. Oh, wait, Doug's right, then we did slaughter them.

Hail Galatia!
I am Tetrarch Stone, of the Richmond Galatia.
I remember talking to some of you at the Dagorhir Aratari Mayham 07 event. At the time Richmond Galatia (RG) was not an official unit so we were fighting with Gwynedd. When we first started making RG we did some extensive searches of the web but never found your Markland Galatia (MG) group.
The ancient Galatia was a land of several tribes with a common language and history. These tribes would meat in consol and would trade between each other but were free to do as they pleased. Ancient Galatians were also known as excellent mercenaries. One history I read, don’t remember were though, had Galatians on every side of many major wars between 400 BCE and 200 BCE. Having two Galatia groups in the same general area of the country is similar to the ancients. If you are ever in Richmond and want to fight come and join us. If any of our members become interested in Markland / SCA we will point them your way.
Galatia! Gold and Glory!

Mor Grendel,
Apparently we forgot to slaughter one of them. I told you we shouldn't leave one alive!
